Serving Preschool Through 8th Grade in the San Francisco East Bay Since 1962
At Seven Hills, learning, growth, community-building, and fun begin at 7:00am and continue until the last student heads home. We are proud to offer before and after-school programs designed to support and nurture each child’s curiosity, creativity, and overall well-being throughout the day and meet the needs of our families from the early morning to the late afternoon.

ECE Early and Aftercare

Our Early Childhood Education (ECE) program offers limited early and aftercare spots to provide a continuum of meaningful care for our youngest learners. Like our core ECE program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our early and aftercare program is rooted in relationships, grounded by inspiring materials and experiences, and guided by children’s curiosity and wonderings.

Early Care: Children are greeted with material provocations, access to a light breakfast, and cozy reading time with familiar ECE adults, including our Pedagogista (curriculum coordinator). This nurturing start to the day sets a positive tone for learning and exploration.

Aftercare: Aligned with our core ECE programming, aftercare experiences allow children to revisit earlier provocations at a relaxed pace. They are encouraged to tune into their bodies for moments of rest and nourishment, engage in calm and fulfilling play, and explore inspiring art, creative music, and movement activities.

Schedule
ECE Early Care is available from 7:00am to 8:30am for before-school care and from 2:15pm until 6:00pm for after-school care. If you have questions about Extended Day, please email Daphna Klugman, Director of Early Childhood Education.

K-8 Extended Day (XD)

For Kindergarten through 8th grade students, our Extended Day (XD) program is designed to keep children engaged, learning, and having fun after school. From social-emotional development to physical activity and imaginative play to arts and crafts, there's something for everyone.

Students have the freedom to choose their afternoon activities, whether playing soccer with friends on the field, designing and playing board games in Calico, or enjoying a quiet space for reading, puzzles, and homework in the Library. A healthy afternoon snack is provided daily to fuel their adventures. Though students are at the center of the experience, our excellent XD teachers also offer varying activities throughout the week to highlight special interests and materials.

Schedule
K-8 Extended Day is available from 7:00am to 8:00am for before-school care and from dismissal until 6:00pm for after-school care. If you have questions about Extended Day, please email Sammy Buono, Director of Extended Day and Enrichment.
